North Texas Healthcare Giant Secures New Deal With Blue Cross Blue Shield

Residents of North Texas who are insured by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas can now relax following an announcement made on Friday about a new deal with Southwestern Health Resources, encompassing both Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern.

The previous The agreements between the healthcare provider and the insurance company came to an end on April 1. as stated by Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Many North Texans found themselves in uncertainty due to the delay, with one of the area’s biggest healthcare providers now being out-of-network. It is anticipated that this new deal will address these issues.

In a recent announcement, Southwestern Health Resources stated they have entered into a fresh three-year pact with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. This development ensures that all Texas Health and UT Southwestern hospitals, along with associated facilities and both employed and affiliated practitioners, remain within the network coverage. As a result, patients may proceed with confirmed appointments or arrange new ones knowing that in-network pricing will be applied. They expressed gratitude for being able to continue providing care under this arrangement as an in-network service provider for BCBSTX members.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas announced that their members will gain access to Southwestern Health Resources through the ParPlan and Blue Choice PPO.
