President Donald Trump might soon get what he has been longing for ever since his initial election to the presidency.
During his presidency’s early years, Trump advocated for an extravagant military procession through Washington D.C., yet he had to withdraw due to expenses. However, a knowledgeable individual from D.C. revealed plans were set for June 14 – coinciding with both the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary and Trump’s 79th birthday – aiming for a march stretching four miles long. the Washington City Paper reported .
The plans are currently under development, and local authorities have only recently become aware of them. However, according to the source, the procession will start at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and continue for approximately four miles. White House in Washington.

“I’m uncertain about the extent of a potential parade,” stated Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis. “However, I trust that the federal government will consider the distress and worries of many military veterans in our community who may have faced job losses due to recent federal actions. As they plan the celebration for the Army’s anniversary, let them keep these issues in mind.”
Karantonis mentioned that the White House gave the county a "preview" regarding the parade on Friday; however, he stated that the specifics are still being ironed out.

The office of D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser didn't reply to requests for comments, however, she openly disagreed with President Trump’s desire for a parade around seven years back. At that time, military authorities informed Trump that such an exhibition could amount to almost $100 million. Additionally, local administrators expressed concerns about potential damages from deploying large military vehicles like tanks, estimating extra costs exceeding $20 million solely for providing security measures.

District of Columbia authorities have stated that pathways and bridges leading into the area might need to be closed off, along with potentially numerous Metro rail and bus routes, as part of the measures to guarantee public safety during the parade.
