Civic Center Sold: Town Hub Fetches £1.91 Million

The CHRISTCHURCH Civic Offices have been purchased for £1.91 million.

The multi-story structure on Bridge Street shut down in December 2021.

It was a component of BCP Council's restructuring initiative.

The 29,600 square foot structure occupies a 1.66-acre plot close to the town centre and encompasses the western section of the leisure centre parking lot.

Alex Davies, the director at CBRE Southampton, commented: "This riverside location presents an thrilling prospect right in the centre of Christchurch."

Therefore, the competitive bidding process drew in multiple well-regarded participants, underscoring the appealing potential of the site.

Questmap Ltd has become the new proprietor of the building.

Peter Harding, the managing director of Questmap, stated: "We at Questmap are delighted to announce the completion of our acquisition of the Christchurch Civic Office building."

Questmap is eagerly anticipating the rejuvenation of the building and ensuring its continued utility for years to come.

The car park on Bridge Street, the public restrooms, and the public pathway to the western side of the center were excluded from the sale.

CBRE Southampton is presently handling the sale of Poole Civic Centre on behalf of BCP Council.

The location, vacant since 2022, comprises the old Poole Civic Centre, the multistorey parking structure, and an additional building next to the civic centre.
