A health warning has been released in Queensland following a visit from someone who had contracted measles at several popular tourist locations.
The visitor, newly arriving in Australia from overseas, was afflicted with an illness whilst exploring the region.
The case was inadvertently contagious as they moved about. Brisbane , Gold Coast , and at Sunshine Coast from Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, until Saturday, April 5th, 2025, where they visited multiple businesses and sites," stated the Metro North Public Health Unit.
Last week, the grown-up went to Australia Zoo, played at a miniature golf course, passed through multiple railway stops, browsed some stores, and checked into various hostels.
On Wednesday, they explored various locations in Surfers Paradise, such as Yo-chi at 11/3240 Surfers Paradise Boulevard from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM, and Cotton On located at 27 Cahill Avenue from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Ghanda Clothing at 25 Cahill Avenue was visited between 11 am and 12:30 pm, along with Holey Moley Mini Golf located at Circle on Cavill, Surfers Paradise Boulevard, during the time frame of 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm.
The restaurant Goldies, located at 3128 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, was frequented between 6:45 pm and 8 pm when the traveler was staying at Bunk Hostel on 6 Beach Road in Surfers Paradise from throughout Wednesday till 10 am on Thursday.
